I’m trying to create a template where people can introduce cost by supplier.

How can I insert new lines for a preset table or metric?

I tried to do so in the spreadsheet functionality bet it’s greyed out.

Thanks in advance,

G

Hi Guillermo,

Typically, to add a new line in your metric, you have to either create a new item in one of your dimensions, or change the filtering rules to display a new item. For that, an input dimension (e.g. with just numbered items - 1, 2, 3, etc.) can be used.

There are lots of ways to do this, all dependent on how you’ve already set it up.

Could you share more of the context in your table?

Curious to see if other modelers have smart ways of solving this.

Hi Guillermo,

I am totally agree with @francois that you will have to add new item in your Dimension list where supplier names are listed, If all supplier name is there and not able to see that supplier name in Metric or Table than I will suggest to check Filter option.

If it is filtered by Hide empty row and column than you would not be able to see that supplier Row or Column. Please check the screensot below.

If you would like to able see supplier name which do not have data than you will have to select show empty row and column in filter. Please check the screensot below.

I think, it will resolve your issue.
